i was really disappointed by the whole original vampire story. so, vampires have only been around for a thousand years? and they are the product of some spell that was cast by a 'viking' witch with a British accent who just happened to come and settle in america right next to a werewolf colony? and if she put the curse on klaus where the fuck did she find the original petrova? seeing as shes bolgarian wtf would she be doing in america 400 years before it was 'discovered' with a bunch of 'vikings'. on that subject why was there some rastafarian black lady there 400 years before the slave trade began? i don't understand. i can't wait to see how they try to explain how the lockwoods ancestors came to be werewolves. also you can be a werewolf and a vampire but not a witch and a vampire? yeah that makes sense... i just feel they didn't spend enough time on this storyline it was rushed and nonsensical. i kinda hope they go back and do some retconing to make it better. oh and all the delena scenes are killing the show, like

they keep throwing shit at us that we already KNOW and it's pissing me off because they're just taking up valuable time from characters they could delve into more.
it still baffles me that Damon and Stefan knew all of the founding families, however they knew nothing about the Lockwoods being werewolves until what...a year ago??

Them having a Damon and Elena scene at the end of every episode is annoying. I was rolling my eyes during pretty much the whole thing.
I agree they could have cut down so much on the cave stuff since 99% of it we knew already.
