First off - no, I am not insane.

Second, how do you know they were false? Just because the US has not found weapons of mass destruction doesn't mean there weren't any prior to the war. It is indisputable that Saddam Hussein had possessed WMDs, even most Democrats will agree with that. My guess is that Saddam made sure the weapons were removed before we arrived, just to make Bush look like an idiot and a liar. The media has made sure to convey this image to the American people each day. The President is a man of morality, and I find it very hard to believe that he would knowingly state false events to the country.

But this war isn't just about WMDs and whether we find them. It primarily was about freeing the Iraqi people from the brutal regime of Saddam Hussein. The man gassed, shot, hung, and tortured his own people, for crying out loud! And if he would do that to his own people, I can only imagine what atrocities he would've committed against non-Iraqis had he been given the opportunity. But thanks to the US and primarily the US alone, I believe the Middle East and the world is much safer now that Hussein is captured.

Then, there's the whole 9/11 "scandal". How could Bush have known about this gruesome day and not say anything of it to the American people? Simply put, he couldn't! He wasn't lying about not knowing about the attacks, because he didn't know! I don't think anyone could've known the exact specifics of it. Sure, there's people like Kerry who could claim that they would've done more to prevent it, but you've got to know that's bull. He couldn't have done anything at all to stop it...the man just wants elected. The media can tell you all it wants you to believe, but the truth is - they don't know (or don't care, at least) what the true story is. Kerry keeps getting the media spotlight, but for what? What big ideas and alternative solutions has he proposed that could fix the country?

Look, I can't make you change your opinion of Bush. But I look beyond the liberal news media and see our leader for who he truly is - a man of faith, morality, and genuine concern for this great nation and its inhabitants. And if that still offends you come November, then go right ahead and vote for John Kerry and his "better way" of doing things.
