Happy Valentine's Day, one and all! Mine has been pretty good, though my evening didn't exactly go as Lesley and I had planned. We planned to go to Muncie and eat at The Olive Garden and then see 50 First Dates, but the restaurant was packed and we couldn't find the right theater. While looking at the Muncie Mall for the theater, we ran into a couple Lesley knew from her old church, and they suggested Greek's Pizzeria in the Ball State campus. It was quite tasty. Then we rented Lost In Translation and took it back to her place. Not exactly what I planned as the perfect Valentine's Day, but it worked out well anyway.
I did something tonight that I never had done before. As I was walking into the gas station to pay for my gas tonight, I saw a bum smoking a cigarette. I said hi to him and he returned the greeting, and asked if I had 50 cents he could have. I didn't at the time, but with the change I would get, I knew I would, so I told him I'd give it to him on the way out. I don't know what he wanted it for, but I didn't care. Christ tells us to love our neighbors, and I felt that this situation would be a chance to do so (on Valentine's Day of all days).
School frustrates me. I just can't seem to read and study like I should this semester. I know this is college...but I need to do better.
God bless, keep it real.
