WHAT HAVE I BEEN DOING ALL OF MAY? Seriously, I have no entries. I kept saying I'd post something to let people know I was alive, then forgetting to do that because I'd watch Around the World in 80 Plates and then listen to a podcast, and on and on. I can assure you that most of my days have been spent searching (unsuccessfully thus far) for jobs to apply to and watching my younger sister play Minecraft, which is probably why I didn't bother to update about my life. Not much to report. :D
Currently I am watching the sun set on the horizon from my bedroom window while dangerous storms loom overhead. Summer! ♥
So! There are a few fandom things I wanted to talk about quick.
❂ I am in love with the soundtracks for Ohno & Aiba's dramas. Such dynamic music! Kagi's soundtrack isn't what I would normally listen to on my own, but given how it ties into the show and just how well done it is, I can't stop listening. Face Down really fits with the rest of the music, which doesn't always happen with Arashi themes >.> LOL Mikeneko's OST, on the other hand, is exactly the kind of thing I love in my instrumental music, and totes reminds me of BBC Sherlock in some ways! So I highly recommend both.
❂ In about a week, maybe a little less, it will be my Arashi fan anniversary~ :D I don't think I've ever been an active fan of anything for this long, at least not to the extent that I follow Arashi. Four years passed, heading into the fifth! Still entirely pleased, and so happy to have met all the amazing people I know now through our shared love of their brilliance. ♥
❂ Now that I'm in introspective mode, though, about Arashi fandom and such, it's been really interesting to think about where I started and where I am now. It would be fun to make a meme comparing old opinions to new :D I used to place a lot of emphasis on writing fiction, now I'm more into RP and reading. Shukudai used to be my favorite show, but since that's off the air now, I tend to lean more toward VS Arashi for the lulz. Nino used to be the center of my attention, now... I couldn't tell you! I was pulled into fandom by Ohmiya, really, which was the first male/male pairing I've ever shipped and enjoyed. Now I still have a special spot for Ohmiya in my heart, but my true favorite pairing is Yama Pair!
I don't think most people see Yama the way I see them? Not to suggest fiction out there is bad, it's just usually not to my preference. Most are too angsty for my liking, sometimes even pairing them with other people first or after. Actually, I've noticed through co-modding oretachinosong on LJ that a lot of Yama writers like the angst and drama. Truly unfortunate! I always think I should write more for them as a pairing, considering how convinced I am that they are special and fluffy and joyous and meant to be don'tjudgeme( .____.), but... well! I don't like to promise anything with fiction anymore, considering how badly I've failed to deliver in the past two years.
Anyway! All of this being said, I did have a lot of fun putting together a video for Yama today, lying on my new carpet underneath my ceiling fan and being a total lazy bum. :D
Without further ado, the dance routine Yama have been choreographing for some time now--
