Arashi is showing me the world - shining, shimmering, splendid. I am on the fluffiest, happiest storm cloud with lightning bolts charging my heart and rainbows providing my breakfast.

Please allow me the sad things before I talk about the much better things! )
ME TOO. So fucking much. I'll avoid saying more than that in a public post of yours ^_^;;; but yeah, life has not been going easy on me lately.
I think I'm a bit guilty of the "ALL THE FLAWS" thing, but probably not to the extent you're talking about- I only get ranty sometimes because I love Arashi like nothing else and even their stuff that I don't like makes me emotional. But I try to vent it quickly and get it out of my system so I can go back to my rainbow sparkle buzz.
But mainly I'm on the other side of it- people going on about how their weekly shows used to be soooooooo much better, and me thinking "b-but I love their shows! Thursdays and Saturdays are the highlight of my week!". I think that people are just having whippersnapper moments- they see their early fandom days through rose tinted glasses, so when they try to compare everything now sucks. But it's the other way around- Arashi is getting better and better at everything they do and I love them so much more all the time.
Another thing people are forgetting is that the beginning of *every* fandom is exhilarating, and it won't always stay that way. I mean, you've got a million new shows to watch and a million new fics and fanarts and exciting things, and then once you're finished you've got to wait for things to come out at their normal pace like the rest of us. And yes, things are just as epic or even more epic than they ever were, but compared to let's say forty episodes of AnS in a single week, their three measly shows seem like nothing. And yeah, not everything they do is 100% perfect, but it never was. And it's good. It's all good enough for me to love it like burning.

THIS. *hugs* I feel the same way too.
Sometimes people still lament about not having Shukudai-kun anymore and how many years has it been? I missed the show so much too since there were so many nice memories while following it, but I also remembered my initial reaction when I watched the 1st episode and wondered, "What are they doing with this uncle? He doesnt seem too happy to hang around with them. AWKWARD." Well, at the time I was still trying to come into terms when G no Arashi ended, so there was a slight resistance to Shukudai-kun, I admit (the same happened when D no Arashi was ending and they revamped it to G no Arashi). Still I kept on watching the show and continued and it turned out to be epic after a while. Now, I see shows' changes and revamps as a part of Arashi's growth, it's inevitable.
Any fan can choose not to watch what they don't enjoy, but it's best if they can live in the present. It's really has been too long. If I missed any of the old shows, I will just rewatch the old episodes.

I think the only thing that frustrates me about Arashi's shows lately is that they rely so heavily on the guests. Arashi are great entertainers! I watched an episode of Shiyagare where a guy came on to do impressions and that was almost the entire show. Arashi just watched. Poop!
But overall, I have recognized that the shows are still great, I just need subs for them more. I used to be able to watch them without, but shows like HNA and Shiyagare lately are a lot less interesting unless you can understand what they are saying - then it's funny!
And I agree that it's all good enough for me to love them still! They give me all I could want as a fan and more, so. :) ♥
