There's wind-chill to take account of. This gets mentioned on the weather sometimes, usually without exactly explaining it, and people would be forgiven for thinking it actually *was* colder. It isn't. The absolute temperature of the air is the same regardless of the wind. However, the windier it is, the faster a body in that wind will lose heat to the air. This is for several reasons. The main one is that the air you have just lost heat to, surrounding yourself, is whisked away and replaced by air of the lower temperature. Also, this warmer air is very slightly (or a lot, depending on how hard you are perspiring) moist, having evaporated away some of your sweat, and is replaced by drier air which is more able to take up more moisture, further increasing your rate of heat loss. Also, faster moving air is more able to penetrate clothing you have on, reducing its insulating potential.

Although a tent is not likely to be windproof, it is likely to be highly wind resistant, and therefore negligible wind-chill factor.

If I'm right, the same process in the presence of higher ambient temperatures are why fan-assisted ovens cook quicker.
