I just received this from my dissertation supervisor from my MA course in response to an email i sent about crossing my fingers, hoping i get into a phd programme:

I would be amazed if you didn't get into the university of your choice,
but god luck anyway.

swoon!! (what a loverly typo, too!!) i love having people who believe in my ideas and my brain. it makes it easier to have hope!
although, i am still totally nervous i won't get into a programme.
