Getting a whole heap of little frustrations at the moment, that seem to be building into one generally massive frustration which I'm a little worried will end up being thrust upon someone who applied the frustration that broke the camel's back and get flattened by it. An awkward death. Not that there's many non-awkward deaths, normally. Oh well. Hopefully it'll pass soon and there's less .. I don't know, whistling in the dark. Or screaming, if I'm in a dramatic mood (which I can't be at the moment, as I have no trousers on. There are rules on dramatic moments). The real life actually important drama is slowly getting resolved anyway, and I shall wave the little flag for that.
On the plus side, I'm getting some writing done (slash waffle follows):
CSI chapter is 3/4 of the way through, which is proving larger than normal length. Perhaps I've been rubbing it, who knows. I've also got a friend who is a professional internet coder who is going to help out with Archie's technological waffle, so there may be a few paragraphs in later chapters which is probably going to go completely over my head. So yes, American English limited, but the actual IP security information accurate! Personal note - make a habit of going to a programmer and saying "this is the set up for what the bad guys want. How would YOU do it?". Hours of entertainment! And, for that matter, slightly worrying
Wolverine fic: Promises is still about, and needs a small amount done on the chapter before posting. That dratted fic WILL be finished, although it is aided by the fact I know *exactly* how it ends. Daftly enough, there's been several writers who have commented recently over fics that don't involve much, if any, lubrication, and the only thing I could think of for the Wolverine slash was Victor grinning and drawling: "If you haven't got enough lubrication, you aren't doing it hard enough". It's strangely liberating to have a fandom where you can go crazy with roughness and the main characters can still stand in the morning.
Need to find more players for CSI: Slash RPG thingie too. Not quite sure how to do that, but plans always turn up from unexpected areas. Damn. Now I want to go all Hannibal Smith.
