The Reachable Stars.

Thinking about the future is stressing me a bit. I'm a few months away from graduation and although I've had my parents' blessing to take a break, I can't help but feel pressured about looking for a job or planning a "career". To think that I've always prided myself to be a self-proclaimed future "career woman" back in the day in those elementary feminist debates.

So far, I've already turned down a few corporate opportunities (I hope I don't regret those!) because I just really can't see myself working in such an environment. Pay's probably good, but aherm. Then, there are those side jobs that I opted to entertain. Not enough to keep me from panicking though. So I guess, just to soothe my nerves, I went online job hunting and created an account in every online job database I can find. There are less than 10 items listed on NGO jobs and abundant for Human Resources and Administrative positions. After all that clicking and surfing, I ended up passing an application for Star Cruises as an HR Assistant/Crew excited about the perks of travelling. Haha. Ang labo ko talaga.

Then just yesternight, I was again doing research on Masters scholarships abroad. I guess a part of me has always found comfort in scholarly (naks) work. So much opportunity out there but nothing fits me as of yet. All of them require some "work experience". BLAH. But that's the advice going around, anyway. So I guess, I better just wait.

At the end of the day, I still don't have my mind made up. All that pep talk about "passion" isn't helping me much too. I really haven't developed much a "passion" for anything, but instead it's like more of a "strong feeling of want".. and that is all.

And so, I have decided to stop stressing much about the future and think about those short-term goals for my future.

Yay, go (near) future! ^_^

1. Have a DVD marathon with my love.
2. Clean my room... and probably the whole house.
3. Have a coloring session with Bok.
4. Take my thesis kids out to La Mesa Eco Park.
5. Sit down and read a good book.
6. Have a roadtrip with my girls (how does Banawe sound?)
7. Go clubbing with my blockmates.
8. Get a new look. (Finally)
9. Attend the World Youth Creative Forum.
10. Take review classes for the FSO exam that maybe I will take.

Oh yeah, the future looks bright.
