Ooooh, I had a really cool night last night! My friends and I went to the underground old town vaults of Edinburgh! These vaults have been there since the 1800's, and they have been on the Most Haunted tv show, and are considered the most haunted place in all of Britain! So we thought it'd be really cool to spend from midnight until 6am in those vaults on a ghost vigil. Some of my friends had been there before and had really cool experiences, like tons of pictures with tons of orbs floating around. Also, lots of physical reactions, hearikng things and smelling things, etc. So I was totally psyched for this! We got there, and its one creepy place! The history is amazing, it was originally storage space for the merchants on the street, but then it was flooded so they were abandoned, and eventually became slums, then became THE hotspot for criminals and murderers. Apparently some incredibly bad things happened down there. Anyways, we weren't told any of this up front, we were sort of just sent down cold, so to speak. The first thing that was weird is that its not cold down there. Quite comfortable, however, incredibly musty old smelling air. So we went to the different rooms and tunnels and stuff down there, it was really cool!!! Lots of alcoves and hiding places! One room freaked the women out, not the men though. My friend Ev and I couldnt even go in the room, I just was totally scared to go in, so we forced ourselves after there were like 10 other people in there, and it was just creepy! However, Ev took a picture and there was a HUGE red orb near one of our friends, and that freaked us out! Then we just started feeling really sick and nauseous so we had to leave. It turns out, that since there have been some renovations to the walls to make them safer, there has been a new spirit that has taken over that room, it just appears as a skull coming out of the walls and is very angry and aggressive. Super. :) Next we went into this other room, and my friend Jill and I sit down and right off feel sick, and then we smell odd things. We smelled really bad body odour, and tobacco. There is no smoke anywhere nearby. We figured someone was just smelly and had a smoke with the smell clinging to their shirt or something. There was also some funny brickwork in one part of the room. The room gave us the creeps and so we had to leave. Turns out that room belonged to a man who manifests as an ugly man wearing thigh high leather boots, hence they call him Mr. Boots, and that he is VERY aggressive, and physically attacks people in teh vaults, especially the guides, and he likes to freak out women, especially blondes. Hmmm. Also, it turns out that he is a murderer, and its believed that the funny brickwork in the wall is from him, he buried the bodies of people he killed in there. He's trying to prevent people from coming in there to discover his cromes. YIKES! SO overall, it was a pretty uneventful night, nothing really happened, aside fromt he odd feelings and smells and stuff. Not many orbs in our pictures or anything. Disappointing really. At about 5 am, we heard clattering coming from a place that it couldnt have been coming from, there's an alcove thats been bricked off, and behind it you could hear plates or something clattering, this went on for a while and was quite unsettling. It seems there are all kinds of ghosts and spirits down there, most of them are angry, violent and very physically aggressive, people have been hurt down there form them. So we left at about 6:30 am, all of us super tired and feeling very sick from breahting that old air and all the other stuff we experienced. I went home and slept and dreamed of orbs. I definitely want to go back again though! Maybe next time I'll see more!!! Very exciting and lots of fun. A couple of us thought it was funny to sort of hide and be quiet and when someopne shone their flashlight on us, we made scary faces and they would freak out. Too funny! Maybe thats why the ghosts weren't very activve, they thought we were too cheeky! LOL. In other news, it was decided that me and one of my girlfriends would go to Italy for a week next Easter weekend! Rome, Venice, Naples! YAY!!!! Soooo excited! :)
