Thursday was my Damien Rice show. I went into it expecting slow, sad, mournful sounding tunes and pumped myself up on caffeine before hand in the hopes that I would not doze off in the middle of it. I was so wrong though! My goodness what a fast, fabulous performer he is. He really rocked up a lot of his work and made you sit up and listen to the new old sounds coing at you. There was no opening act (a little weird to me), but it made the show seem so much faster and less hectic. We found our seats, listened to who we paid to come and see and then filed out in a polite(ish) manner. Highlights were Cheer's Darlin' with cigarette and shots of whiskey, Delicate, The Blower's Daughter and Volcano.
