This week at my church small group we read Psalm 22. What Jesus did on the cross emptied Him, and dried Him up, but He had hope.
Right now my life is not working out like I thought God had planned it to. It really hurts to realise that where you are heading, everything you are working towards, what you thought was God's next step for you, is all just swept out from under your feet.
Intro to Primary Health Care is postponed until January 2011. It is not that I am left optionless, but rather I am paralysed by indecision.
On the one hand, I can take this money I've saved and go where I choose, or I can wait and pray and hope that God has a specific plan for me at this time in life. And, maybe this seems like a no-brainer: wait for God's go ahead. But I have heard (and firmly believe) that when God does not call you somewhere, find where He is working and join the task force. So now, do I look at my (seemingly limitless) options and choose the one I like? Or do I work a nine-five boring job and hope something happens to show me where God wants me?
Right now, with this and other things going on at the moment, I feel empty adn dry. I do not even have the energy to feel sad, only confused. I do not understand God's working and do not believe I misheard Him. But does God change His mind like that? You wouldn't think so, right?
So anyways, I feel like a potsherd - broken, dried up and empty. I haven't even made it to the hope stage yet. But I'm glad God prepared me with that particular Psalm.
