yoohooo, and ONE perfectly set eyelet on the hat! Haha! I really like what you've been doing with the sewing machine lately - and your usage of colors turns brighter and colorful. You used to have a lot of black white and red, but you seem to add another color to your palette every week now - I love that! What is it that you use? Are they markers, or inks, or do you just mix everything that's there in and around your desk?

btw, i am not very good at using it, as you can tell from the crooked lines and such haha.. but hopefully it looks intentional. i guess i could be better at it, but i liek the crazy threads sticking out everywhere! that is also what i did for my bfa exhibition... left the threads sticking out of my work when the prints were sewn on to the dyed paper.

not fair... I'm stuck here, with that dumb academic material, away from my art supplies, and this post of yours makes my fingers itch. The more I see your drawings the more I like them. Tried to look for Prismacolors at the big art supply store, but they don't have any. Perhaps I should order some from Dick Blick?

if i were you i would definitely order some! thehy are a little expensive, though i got my set of 150 for 50 dollars... which was a total mistake! someone marked them improperly for the holidays one year. haha i should have bought several sets! then i could have sold them. alas! i have had my set for about 8 years now, and i only have to occasionally replace a color when i use it up. LOVE prismacolors. they usually work best over something else, like paint or watercolor. you can use photo retouch spray over acrylic to give it tooth again so you can add accents with the pencils. most of them are translucent, which is why they are so good... they really show up in layers. mmmm. prismacolor ( ... )

LOL Nicci! You had stolen my *unpronounced* idea for the birds that drive deco !!! ;) A bird in an airplane... I was thinking of that too. But well I doubt I would have done it as nicely as yours. This bird looks like he knows what he does ! Well, I'll just go on plan B... :) My birds will be closer to the ground - I think...

heheheehe aww thank you an-su. you know an airplane was the first thing that popped into my head when i saw your post about the swap... and then i couldn't get it out of my head. of course my 'airline captain' uniform looks more like a clown suit of some kind....

but that's ok! => i am mailing... ahahah oh no... i just realized i sent the deco to carla *doh* i just mailed it out today in a pack to her with the other decos i made. oops haha i guess i will ask her to do a page in it THEN forward it on to my actual partner. D'oh! where has my brain gone??

Very nice drawings! I like the loose threads hanging out everywhere. I think "Window Scenes" is my favourite... might have to use that theme myself sometime :)
