Court Order
Well, it's official: our church has filed a lawsuit. It's on the front page of today's papers. So lovely. The very example of Christ in action, apparently.
However, behind the scenes, stuff has been going on for literally years to try to resolve this. It all comes down to the fact that government officials lie. At least this one does. They lie to everyone, they lie LIE LIE. Not that I'm particularly shocked. He has very obviously lied to the people in the community about what he has told us. Fortunately, not only did he tell us, he wrote it down in a letter. Not the smartest bulb in the marquee, but around here you don't need honesty or smarts: just clout. Chicago politics has a long reach.
