[Spirit/Air] Tribes 16: Fox
The Fox tribe is the primary producer of Fire, but also shares the role of liminal tribe with Horse. They are small folk, mostly with russet/rufous coloring, and very mischievous. They are hunters and foragers in the deep woods.
There are no major deities associated with this tribe, as they keep behind the scenes, though there are some folkloric depictions of the Foxes.
The Foxes also assist people traveling back and forth between the worlds, but they are very specific about whom they will help - while the Horses will assist anyone who asks politely and respectfully, the Foxes only help those with a mandate to walk in both worlds, such as shamans and healers
The lesson of Fox is Camouflage - blending into one's environment for protection, healing, and the ability to observe without distraction. They also remind of the need for humor in everyone's life, and that tricks and pranks are often useful for opening up new ways of understanding and viewing our world and ourselves.
