OK THIS IS GORGEOUS, and I was in love with it from the first line already, Damon kisses her like he means it. ALL THE FEELS, Rebekah is my girl and she is gorgeous here, with all her doubts and insecurities and ignoring them and surpassing them, just BEAUTIFUL. Just, the way she accepts whatever he is willing to give, so tragically beautiful, makes me want to hug her and scream at her that she should get everything she wants and not just settle for Missed you in my bed. but then she goes and messes with him as well and IT IS ALL SO PRETTY <333333

This is it exactly. I just want to squeeze her, I love her so much. And the idea that she's the tagalong, the second choice for everyone and JUST UGH. She makes me feel things. Some of the same things that Damon makes me feel sometimes, hence this. (And that desire to write this exact same story/relationship from his POV - because honestly.)

I understand your desire to write damon/rebekah from damon's pov too, and I'm sure that would be VERY interesting to read as well :) I mean, why does he do it? does he like her at all?

and YES, the Rebekah spending ETERNITY as the second choice, just, guh. IT CAUSES ME FEELS.

Whether they like each other or not (though I think they do, a little, grudgingly and against their better judgement), they get each other - and THAT is what I like so much. With Damon everyone would rather have Stefan, and when it comes to Rebekah it doesn't matter who they want except that it's not her and GUH.

I'd also really like to see what would happen if Damon and Rebekah were playing on the same team. Can you imagine the damage they could do if they put their minds to it? (Really though, this speaks to my wishes for the new season, and that would open a gigantic can of word vomit worms.)

OH MY GOD. I want to wrap up everything you just said and tie it around my neck with a pretty ribbon.

I don't even need diabolical plans. Scheming, fucking with the lives of the people around them (like we've already seen them both do), and generally stirring up shit would please me greatly. And if they occasionally get horizontal together, all the better. And having it all start at the bar is like the cherry on top.

And yeah, Elena's death is largely Rebekah's fault, but there's plenty of blame to go around; enough other people are at least partially responsible that we can rationalize away Rebekah's role in the whole thing, right? After a bottle or two of bourbon and a bit of light torture?

I wrote a drabble for someone once (which I don't think is actually posted here anywhere; maybe I should fix that), and found them oddly sweet together. I just want someone to love Rebekah, I think. But re: Maserati, she IS responsible for the death of his truck, and what better way to attempt to make amends?
