Better Than Staying Here
My boss spilled coffee on my new white shirt
I hit every red light coming home from work
It seems no matter how I try, I just can't win today
I read the wrong section in my history book
And the skeez across the room just threw me a look
How I wish that I could fly, I just wish that I could fly away
It's times like these
Wanna sail across the seas
Shoot up into the sky
Pass all our planets by
The dreams of this girl

I won't waste time with goodbyes
So I'll take a rocket straight to the moon
Don't expect me back too soon
There's a thousand worlds just waiting for me, so watch me disappear
Might be dangerous but I'll be fine
I gotta see how bright the stars can shine
I'll risk my life, I might just die out there, but it's better than staying here.
I walk into the house and walk straight into a fight
Over who gets to watch the TV tonight
I love them to death but no one drives me crazylike they do
Dad treats me like a child, Mom says that I'm cursed
And of course the Sinisister is up to her worst
Slam my door, shut my eyes, and dream of being somewhere new.
