So the McQuaid Invitational was yesterday (biggest XC meet on the east coast average of probably 300 kids a race). I got a 22 something (its only 3 miles not 3.1 so it's suposed to be like 30 seconds faster) but still even if you add a minute thats 23 which is about a min under my PR which is really good. Nate came this close to beating me though which kinda sucks. I was at the 2 mile and I hear someone scream "GO NATE!!!" I look behind me and I see his face like 2 inches away from mine. I say "oh shit!" and sprint to get away from him. I refuse to let him beat me, someone who doesnt work, fakes injuries, and antagonizes everyone around him shouldn't beat people (pretty much the rest of the team) who actually do work. I'm very suprised hes actually still on the team.
I ran in the unseeded race (pretty much the race for the not top 7 kids, its a whole scoring thing too much to get into now), and when we were warming up people werre bitching that they couldn't run in the "real" race, I don't really understand that because XC is not like soccer or football or something. Pretty much you run to get a good time and when you do that you help out your team. It is something that is harder to get better very drasticly than soccer or football because a lot of it is the genetic hand delt to you, but people dont understand that all the time and they want to be the best when they can't be.
But the top 7 guys ran in the "seeded" race, and got 12 out of 19 I think (very very good). Which brings me to the title, Nick Hugh was pretty pissed the whole day it seems like, but he had a killer time (19 something I belive). So I think he is on steroids, I will be investigating this further though. So if Nick Hugh comes in with one of his shirts but its all tight and spandexy, and maybe his massive forearms start to rip through the sleves let me know I'll need documentation. Then I'll send him to rehab.
Now I'm off to the G-Unit
Y'all have a nice day.
