The joys of parenting

So this morning Ben was really fussy about everything, which is kind of odd as he got a good, long night's sleep. I finally got him to sit down and have a cup of (soy) yogurt for breakfast. I go into the living room for a few minutes respite, then look into the kitchen to check on him. I notice that he's not being very studious about eating his yogurt, which is unusual.
Then I notice that there's a big patch of pale pink on his hair. Exactly yogurt colored, as a matter of fact. *sigh*
I walk in asking what he was doing, and found it was much, much worse than I thought. There was yogurt on his head. There was yogurt spread all over the leg of his pants. There was yogurt on his chest. There was a pile of yogurt on his chair. There was yogurt splattered onto the floor. And thanks to his previous whining and dalliances, he needed to leave for school in about 15 minutes.

After running him upstairs, washing him off, getting his jeans in the washer (Christina does that part - she's totally in charge of laundry), getting him new clothes and getting him dressed again, and getting him a new breakfast (toast, thank you very much, considerably less messy) Christina managed to get out the door with him only about 5 minutes late.
