Off and running

Day three of nano and I'm already at 10,000 words, this of course is the easiest part for me, so we'll see if the pages fill as quickly tomorrow.

Girl has been home all week (driving me nuts :-P) with viral bronchitis, strep throat, and ear infections. She was forbidden from returning to work until Monday. Yesterday her fever broke, but the coughing fits are still frequent with respiratory distress. Today, even with her lack of stamina, we went to our open house for Upstate Medical Univ. It was really great to get a general view of their programs. I was especially pleased that around 93% of students graduate, and 99% of students pass their state licensing exams. I may be able to do my clinical internships in hospitals closer to home. They had a wonderful attitude about giving you your lab coat on your first day and considering you a future collegue. I'm really glad I went, even though I had to be up at 5 a.m. to be there by 8. OY.
