No, really. I insist! It's been a mild winter here, but I'm fully done with it and the groundhog said so, so there!
Got out my running clothes/shoes today and hit the pavement. It's about fifty and grey, but so nice. It's refreshing to have some new scenery to look at. I loved my hikes in the woods, but there was really only one path to follow, so it got old. I live in the middle of several streets that form some large 'blocks,' so I have some alternatives too. I really kept getting the urge to run, but I haven't even been for a walk since November and I didn't want to overdo, so I only let myself take off once for a little ways. The roads were still icy in spots, so I didn't want to wipe out anyway. I did find a new sketchy guy to replace the one in the woods who used to hold me up all the time. This guy was pulling out of his driveway with his dog in his car and waved so I waved back and kept walking. He didn't pull out right away, and the only car coming was going the opposite way, but when he did pull out, he rolled his window down and tried to spark up a conversation. No, thanks buddy.
Now I'm cleaning house. The laundry room so far has been done top to bottom, just taking a break for the floor to dry so I can put everything back before staring the next project. I made a to do list and I'm checkin' things off baby! I've got the dogs out in the yard enjoying the weather and this afternoon I'll take the greyhound for an extended walk, since she won't go to the yard.
Hope it's lovely wherever you all are. :)
