'Island of Lost Girls,' by Jennifer McMahon. A woman witnesses a child abducted from a gas station and sits immobilized as a figure in a white bunny suit snatches the girl from her car and drives off. The scene dredges up another disappearance in her life that had taken place thirteen years earlier. The two stories parallel and seem to converge as you jump between worlds each chapter. I stopped reading cookie cutter mysteries a few years ago, I liked this one because it wasn't told from the perspective of an investigator. Sadly, I was able to guess a lot of the plot, but there were still twists that were unexpected.
