[A: Phone]

It seems as though things are back to normal... normal for these parts, anyway, however long that seems to last. What now?

[B: Phone Call to Yuri]

Yuri, are you alright?

B is for "bite me"? bitemescumbag June 6 2011, 06:33:41 UTC
Well, m'still alive. [Not that he's displeased with that, but the statement doesn't have his usual cheer. Or jeer, really.]

How 'bout you? Tell me you made it through that mess alright?

[She notes that he's sounding a little flat, and nods despite his not being able to see her at the moment.]

I made it through fine. Managed to hide out for most of it, somehow. I like this place less and less each day.

S'good. Takes a load off my mind, heh.

The novelty wore off fast, yeah. I think I'd rather be back in... that one tower. With the malice. Apony?

Nice feeling, to know someone was worried about me.

... Apoina Tower?

Sorry I was outta touch. [He doesn't mention -why- he was, not that Karin couldn't guess.]

Yeah! That crappy spot! ...What'd I say?

It's alright. I understand. [She knows full well why he's been distracted. She can't blame him, although the thought alone makes her stomach turn a bit.]

[She laughs.] Apony. Good try, though.

[He'll just be oblivious of your gut roiling then! Because that's kinda what he does usually...]

Meh. Both names are pretty dumb. Shitty place too. [A beat.] ...Most of the places we went to were kinda crappy, weren't they?

Oh, yes. We only ever visited the most prestigious of miserable locales. Considering everything was full of demons? Maybe we should plan our next tour of Europe in advance.

Ha! Like they were fulla demons after we were done with 'em. We shoulda charged for that, y'know. Coulda gotten something other than a lousy boat to get around Japan.

[Damn Anastasia and damn that family of bears.]

It's sad, isn't it, to think of what a wasted opportunity it was? We could have made a fortune.

[Oh, poor Yuri and his seasickness.] Is there any vehicle you can manage for a long period of time without getting sick?

Well, I haven't tried driving that car at my house. Yet. How hard could it be? ...Trains are alright though.

Hey that reminds me, you were in the army, right? What're those tanks like?

Probably harder than you think. Maybe talk to someone about getting a lesson before you hurt yourself? Or someone else, for that matter.

I was in the army, but I never rode in a tank. They're slow-moving, so I imagine you wouldn't have trouble with motion sickness. A good choice if there's a forest or some other expanse of land you've really got a grudge against.

That's kinda disappointing. Only really good for rolling over trees?

... Anyway, if I think it's easy like it ain't nothing, you're telling me it might be only kinda challenging, right? [This is logic I swear.]

nibelungprelude June 7 2011, 02:15:29 UTC
Well. I suppose you could roll over other things, if you were so inclined. And of course, there's the cannon mounted on it.

[... oh, Yuri.] We'll say moderately challenging to very challenging, how about that?

[Blankly] Why would I ever need a cannon?

Wait a sec. Can you drive?

It would be more of a conversation piece for you.

[Pause.]

... yes. [SO HESITANT.] I can drive.
