Because Takeru is afraid of ghosts so Chiaki took him to a haunted house attraction!

No, it's trufax. The episode was about Genta being afraid of sushi because in the previous episode he was turned into sushi and a cat almost ate him.

^It's not any less stupid on screen.

He decided he couldn't be a Shinkenger anymore so he created a magical paper lantern that talks and can grow massive to fight monsters.

Then it had an argument with Genta and its feelings were hurt so it left his sushi cart to get another job.

None of the potential employers commented on the fact it was a talking, floating paper lantern.
