US5 and Kisumai was... strange but I don't mind it as much as a lot of people did. It's kind of nice to see gaijins on Japanese tv who aren't just there to act stupid so Japanese people can laugh and feel smugly superior, you know? Though at the end when Koyama was all "thanks! thanks! see you! see you!" using all the conversational English he knows it did become too ridiculous for me to keep a straight face, sorry to say. :D:
Go-onger
I love when Saki interacts with other women. I think when she's interacting with the boys she's cute but she doesn't really come into her own until she's with someone like Miu or Kegalesia or her sister. She shines when she's with women. ♥ Anyway, she was adorable this episode, such a cute little sister. Seeing her flip between pouty dislike for Sanae and starry eyed worship was darling. And her match-making Gunpei and Sanae! ♥
Sanae herself I kind of liked, though I guess maybe I wasn't supposed to. She reminded me of that con-woman the Timerangers (except Sion and Yuuri) all fell for that one time. Hant is a hilariously creepy flirt - isn't that teddy bear he tried to give her actually Saki's? I know I've seen Saki holding it before. Sosuke is so heavy-handed and brash with women he likes. D:
Aww, I miss episodes like this. ♥ I like these episodes more than stuff about new mechas.
Kiva
Riki and Ramon continue to be
adorable. Whyyy don't they get more screentime? Riki's surprise when he couldn't pull out the sword with just one hand was so lulzy.
Bishop grows increasingly like Gekiranger's Long. It's the way he leans so close to people to talk, though I think in Bishop's case you could put that down to him being so tall. With Long it was about creeping people out, for sure. (I miss Long, he was such an awesome villain. *____*)
Finally Taiga shows some negative emotion! My impression of him is like a rubber band at this point - patience and understanding but if you stretch too far, it'll snap in your fingers. There's that rich boy feeling of entitlement with him; he feels he has the right to things and people and when it turns out that he can't have them, that just won't do. I don't know, we haven't seen a lot of Taiga, I'm not sure about what kind of person he is.
I love Megumi's spiteful little glee when Nago's anxious about something. ♥ She reminds me of a little boy pulling the pigtails of the girl he likes.
Was I supposed to be embarrassed by Kengo's attempt to chat up Mio? Because it made me squirm, his attempts to look cool and bad-ass. Oh Kengo, what are you doing. :(
The Kiva-Saga fight was pretty cool, though Saga's lack of grace surprised me. From the way he stands I assumed he'd move in an equally poised, regal way but there was something kind of brutish about the way he fights, the way he angles his body. I haven't got a clue what this means but it was interesting! :D
I... don't have anything to say about '86 King other than... erm, seriously? Seriously?
Re: Scrap Teacher's first episode: SIT THE FUCK DOWN, YAMADA, DAIKI NEEDS MORE SCREENTIME AND YOU'RE HOGGING IT. >:(
