Graduation weekend

May 15, 2007 22:57

Well, this is belated, but here it goes: Graduation was one of the most memorable, stressful, and confusing times in my life! I sudoku'd my way through the first few hours of the ceremony and then blurred through my walk and yelled for my friends a few rows behind. ... I sat down and realized I had no diploma in my roll! *breath* That's right. NO DIPLOMA! I spent the rest of the day stressed and crying on the inside while hiding from my family the fact that there was a major hiccup. (Thank god it's all straightened out now. :D) My mom and gran are pretty much handicapped for different reasons, so I stress over them being in such bad shape. Seems my gran checked out of the hospital, came down here, and will go straight back to have a surgery! Why can't these women see what they're doing to themselves? They don't even try to change their lifestyles.

Moving on, I have graduated. *even though I have no pics to show you because I think my mom becomes retarded when I want her to do things* She took one blurry pic of an empty stage, and that's it! No video of me walking, not even a freakin' pic of me in cap and gown! *sigh* I think I'm just going to set my timer on my camera and take my own this week, and that's just beyond sad. For gifts I got...let's see...a photo album. Yep, an album. I guess I was expecting too much, but I at least wanted something to start with. You know, money for furniture/computer or a new phone (which they took me to buy). lol, I even feel wronged that they didn't buy the dog anything! I just kind of wanted to spoiled for this day I guess.

I believe I did find an apartment today though. It's a one bedroom loft which actually has a bigger closet, bathroom and kitchen than I have now! Only problem is that it's not furnished, so I'm going to have to get that stuff. I'm only going basic chairs and futon and a bed I guess.

Note: I'm proud to say I held out on joining facebook until I graduated. I'm slowly getting more involved on it. lol, it's even how I found the apt!
