Today is day fourteen. That means I have literally been here two weeks. Cool. I want to write in my journal about like I want to go canoeing, which I'll tell you right now isn't all that much. -Sighs, and falls back into her chair- I've resigned myself to the fate of writing every evening, so I'm probably best off to just get on with it. I'm not sure how long this one will be, maybe as long as usual and maybe shorter than the average bear. Well, it's always shorter then the average bear, but I'm sure that each and every single one of you know what I'm trying to say at least. So this morning was pretty typical, and it took more energy then usual to pry myself out of bed. Somehow, I was out of the door on time once again, though! Mom's been doing all the breakfasts lately, which makes me feel kind of bad. Maybe on Friday I'll wake up early and make something instead. If I actually want to wake up before her, I'd be better off waking up at three in the morning... Which means that I'd probably settle simply for not sleeping. I got to walk over to KUMC today and what a wonderful walk it was! The weather was fantabulous for most of the day, I only wish I'd spent a little more time outside. There are some dried-up pods form the trees that float around, and they look a lot like Alien Spores. I'm thinking of taking one back to Arizona just to show everyone how weird they look. It's part of what makes the walks pleasant, though. That, and highfiving and wishing a happy Wednesday to the random Medical Students milling around to get to who-knows-where. I made one kids day from it I know, and there was this one girl who was totally weirded out, but I saw her smiling when she walked away so I'm going to assume that I won anyway!
So, today was kind of like yesterday... Only I actually got some things accomplished. Today was some time with Dr. Hyman, where we started reading Julius Caesar which I've found to be pretty interesting so far. I've awnsere dthe section questions, but I'd like to continue reading part two with him tomorrow. It's simply fun the way how he reads and everything like that, plus he likes reading so it makes it all the more enjoyable. It's certainly easier to do with someone then Biology, which I think I'm more accustomed to doing all on my own anyway. That went well, I went down around 10:30 or so to go and meet this lady who I'm supposed to meet with once a week whose like a tutour. I didn't get the chance to see her though, so I'm hoping that with a little bit of luck I'll be able to see her tomorrow. From what I can tell from my schedule, it'll be a busy day as far as the program goes. Tomorrow there's a family psychiatry session, seeing Dr. Hyman, probably the tutour-lady, and Physical Therapy. Tomorrow I'm going to be pretty dead, most likely. Who knows though, maybe I'll end up suprising myself and being super-awake. Hey, it is a posibility.
After working a bit on World Literature and all I went into Physical Therapy where I fared suprisingly well, came home and ate lunch. Which was really good, since it was left-overs from last nights dinner. That was also what we had for dinner so, yeah... What's to say? It was an unbelievably large serving, and I'll probably order it again. We added some more mushrooms to it, as well as some chicken. It went pretty well, it's amazing what kind of weird stews Mom and I concoct together. They look so ugly, and have the weirdest ingredients and yet they're all easy to digest and delicious. Hehe, we took some down to Li. I think he was afriad of it at first, he kept on trying to politely refuse and looked at it like a portal to another demension was inside of it or something. Not to say that I don't understand how he'd get that idea, but still. He ended up trying it and liking it, which is good. I suppose he's learning to live with us as his neighbors, and probably learning to enjoy it a little bit too. I actually kind of like Apartment life, it's easy to get along and there's never a dull moment. There's always something happening somewhere, of course I've yet to meet everyone. I did meet a whole buncha younger kids who live upstairs. Unfortunately I don't have the energy for jump rope. Woe is me! Nah, not really- more than that, I'm just lazy and anti-social ;).
Well, I pulled myself to gether to finish Act One of Juluis Casesar and awnser the questions requested of me, not too long after Mom came home and we made a spur-of-the-moment descision to go out to the Hen House to buy groceries, which we really don't need. There were just a few things I wanted more of, such as oatmeal-raisin cookie dough that we can bake later on. Man, those cookies were good- I'd like to get my grubby lil' paws on them again. We also got some juices that I ended up liking, and she got some of the produce she wanted. I found some popsicles that I adore, so I stole them from teh shelf without a second thought. You gotta love those popsicles, no matter what season it is there's always something charming, and overall nice about sitting down and eating a popsicle. 8D I suppose that means that I'm going to fall back into my adoration for popsicles, Breyer does make the bestever popsicles after all. Muahaha, they're strawberry and raspberry one's are especially good. And they're mine! -Greedily runs hands together- >) I had a highlight of my day today. It was in the checkout line, there was a guy who was bagging the grocerys who was severly hearing impaired and I had a chance to excersize my sign language for the first time in a while. It made his day and mine, and somehow it ended up making Mom happy too. I suprised myself by what I was able to remember as far as signing went. I accidentally signed "computers" instead of "colledge" though. Argh, some signs are so similar though!
I think the suprising thing is that we didn't go home right away, instead we went to the movie theatre. That's right a Movie theatre, which is pretty rare for Mom and even more rare for me since I'm usually happier to buy the DVD later and enjoy it in my own make-shift surroundings. It was pretty enjoyable, we went to go and see that new Disney flick "The Shaggy Dog", I didn't think it would be good, but I was pleasantly suprised. It was good, it certainly was not oscar material but it was entertaining and enjoyable. The idea in the end ended up to be pretty unique, and some of the things in it were pretty nifty-looking. If you're looking for something light, that's the type of Movie you want to see. Mom had one of her infamous popcorn fixes- she really does love popcorn. She always eats at least two of those huge tubs of it, and somehow she isn't obese! Miricle motabolism for the lady whose half a century old! I got a Pretzel, which was all fine and good. We came home, ate dinner and that's where the story ends.
Mom has some hidden radar in her head, I swear. I just had to get up to the bathroom and she was on full alert, like she was expecting me to escape out the back window or something. I didn't want the light to hurt her eyes so I tried to close the door for her but she got all defensive about it. It was actually pretty funny, she was just like ">:0 Don't you close my door Caitlyn!" ... Well, there was this one way she said it and it made me laugh. She's like a zombie, whenever you don't want her roaming around she's there. Then when you expect her to be she's fast asleep and doesn't stir all night. I'm trying to think if anything else happened that's worthy of mention, but I don't think I can think of anything really. Today was an overall day, though I wish that I'd gotten more schoolwork done. Oh well, as the procrastinators say "Why do today what you could put off until tomorrow?". It causes so much stress, though. Procrastination will be the end of the teenage race, I'm certain of it. Happy Wednesday to all, and to all a good night!
