More interview questions, this time from
6beforelunch,
1. Are you planning to do a fashion through the seasons retrospective for Sam and Teal'c?
You know, when I did Daniel I wasn't planning on doing Jack, and when I did Jack I wasn't planning on Sam and Teal'c, but I was totally surprised by the number of people who mentioned that they should get a write up. So probably I will try and put together 'The Return of Everybody's Crazy,' but it will definitely have to be after Apocalypse_Kree. It'll be hard, too, since Sam usually looks pretty good and Teal'c only comes in two flavors: awesome and absurd.
But SG-1 is so all about the clothes. The fashion must flow!
2. What's your favorite sub-field in psychology?
I guess the technical answer here would be social psych, but I say that because I have a fascination with cult psychology, specifically. I've been keeping my fingers crossed since my freshman year that the senior topics cult course will be on offer when I'm a senior, especially because the professor who teaches it is awesome. (I freak my roommate out with this all the time. She came wandering into my room once when I was playing through the Jonestown tapes and was not. happy.)
More generally I'm also very interested in adolescent psychology, and probably I'll focus on that if I go to grad school.
3. When did you discover fandom (on-line or otherwise)?
Well, I'm not sure if it counts, but I was about 8 or 9, I think, when the original Star Wars trilogy was re-released in theaters. I had never seen it before and my best friend and I went nuts for them, and spent about two years after that playing Star Wars and making up stories about how we were Han and Leia's super cool twin Jedi daughters who flew all over the universe being badasses and levitating things. And then a few years later, back in The Day when AOL was the hot new thing on the internet, the AOL Buffy boards were linked to the front page for some reason and I started hanging out around there a lot and I've been accumulating fandoms since.
4. What's your favorite minor Stargate character?
I love Skaara...I loved him in the movie, I loved him even more when they got the same actor back for the show. He's just awesome. (I think this is why I kind of hate Full Circle.)
Also, Lya. So much love for the Nox.
5. Macs: good or evil?
Good! I've been using them for about three years and I love them. There are some disadvantages -- I'm a big video game person and the vast majority of computer games are never ported over -- but for ease of use and the OS, I love them.
In non-meme related news, I'm totally not flailing incoherently over my JD Ficathon assignment (zomgfourdays?!), and there are all these awesome remixes out that I haven't gotten to read yet, and I still have a list of stuff to read from the SD Ficathon, and my math class very well may drive me insane.
But the sun is out! And it's hot! Like it's summer! Yay!
