Even more Earth-shattering news
A few things...
1. It's fun with layout time! After playing around and poking around all morning I think I've warmed to The Purple One, but I'm not married to it yet, so...we'll see. I do like that it's spring-y, though. (P.S. if you ever want a pre-made layout,
premade_ljs is ten kinds of awesome.)
2. I don't know how far out people tend to think about these things, but: I've never been to a con and really would like to go to one. I have a feeling if there's a time to do it, it's this year, and the NJ Creation Con in November is really perfectly located for me. I was wondering if anyone who's been to cons in general, and the NJ con in particular, could give me some information on what they're like. As fun as they seem? What about if you go by yourself? What are the best ticket packages to buy -- are the expensive ones worth saving for? Is anything of "the experience" lost if you don't stay at the hotel? How come my foolproof technique for getting a free second soda from my floor's vending machine isn't working anymore? Really, any information.
3. Blame
starting_gate. Not because she made me draw it (no, I'm sorry to admit I did it all by myself) but because she reminded me of it and sent me digging around for it. This one is for you, SG!
In my defense, I drew this while I was in the middle of editing together the Brokeback parody for April Fools. That doesn't make me not crazy, but maybe it makes me...less crazy? A little? With added psych-notes action and the unrelated stuff left in, so people will understand why when I say that I had no problem vividly recalling this page of my review for the exam I took today.
For the record: I'm almost entirely positive that I aced the essay on this. Look! The doodles are useful! Even if they are taking over my lj oh God please someone stop me before I get totally out of hand. O: )
