More on the Louisville library situation
Library Journal: Internet access lost at all library locations, web site down, at least $1M in damage
To view this from my perspective, $1M would build our new library building. Ouch. One of the librarian's is posting pics via Twitter. They're painful to look at, and even more painful is knowing they've lost over 10,000 items, as well as 40 new computers worth $50,000 that were destined for one of their branches.
The libraries are now open to check out materials, but there's no internet access. What do you want to bet some mofos will be bitching about that all day long? Who cares if you've been flooded out, I need to check my email!
