I still don't have Disney+, but once these are out, it's definitely possible.

I really like the "What's our plan?" exchange. Makes me feel like Bucky is thinking he just exchanged one reckless idiot for another. :)

I know the image of Loki in the green suit is from a comic, but I'm trying to figure out which one so I can maybe read it. Though I ( Read more... )

I was already planning to get a month of D+ to catch up when Mandalorian s2 finishes. I can see I’ll be getting a month every six to twelve months to binge on Marvel!

Judging by the first three shows they have scheduled, it looks like they're trying to have new Marvel content every other month. I figure they're trying to keep a steady flow of new stuff now that production is catching up, in hopes that it'll be like the Hotel California. :)

Joke’s on them. I prefer binging a whole season at once (2-3 days). I’m completely fine with waiting until all the eps in 3-4 different shows have aired and then watching them all in a month :D

If I binge something, I tend to watch a whole season in a weekend. My only thing is if it's something I'm waiting on, it's really hard to avoid spoilers, from reviews to gif sets on Tumblr, if I can't watch it quickly.

I've noticed some streaming services moving to weekly episodes, at least on big titles. From the creator's POV, it's to allow for an ongoing discussion among viewers, giving the show's plots time to breath, etc. From the streaming service's POV, mo money because it's being dragged out.

Season 5 of The Expanse is coming out on Prime Video this week. Sort of. It's going to be a hybrid model, where they're dropping the first few episodes all at once, then releasing the rest on a weekly basis. I do wonder if D+ will consider it at some point.

Fortunately I’m not on Tumblr and I avoid anything else that looks like it will be spoilery. (I have one unheard show in my Pop Culture Happy Hour podcast subscription because it’s The Mandalorian, so I’m waiting.) The only thing I’ve heard so far is that baby Yoda gets a name-not even what it is.

I am bummed out by the move to weekly drops. I get why they’re doing it, but it’s not my style. My main problem is knowing when a season is going to end so I can get the subscription and binge. Which reminds me, I need to go to IMDb and see the episode dates for both Mandalorian and The Expanse. Not going to watch three eps of Expanse and then have to wait again! It’s bad enough waiting between seasons.

It can be difficult to avoid spoilers, because even if most folks tag it, not everyone does, and all it takes is one. I haven't watched an episode of The Mandalorian, but I've already seen Baby Yoda's name.

The Expanse is set to start of December 16th, but Prime has a history of dropping early, so maybe on the 15th. We'll get the first 3, then weekly, and the finale will be February 3, 2021.

They'll also be doing an aftershow with Wes Chatham and Ty Franck. They'd been doing a podcast, but it was difficult to do with the episodes dropping all at once.
