Book time

We got a grant in the Before Times, so a huge part of working from home in April was ordering chapter books, juvenile fiction, and graphic novels/manga via Amazon. I learned there's an order limit of 50 items, which made ordering oh so fun, since we completed entering all of the stuff ordered today and it was exactly 300 books. We have a little bit of money left in the fund, so there may be a few more added, but it won't go much further.

They're all in the computer, but everything isn't "shelf ready" yet. There are still labels, covers, and other stuff to get the last stacks done. We're sort of on hold for more covers, but we can at least get everything else done. The only downer is we were expecting to have bored kids coming in to check these out for the summer, and I can't even open the doors yet. Just curb service for now, but we do have some regulars taking advantage of it.

As soon as we get the sneeze guards we ordered in and set up, we're going to open, but still in a limited fashion. Even then, I don't know how many will be ready to come in like they normally would. We can't let people "hang out" which means a lot of our younger users won't come in, and some of our older users are just barely comfortable with curb side service.

I'm trying to do some cleaning up, as we kind of let things go while we were closed and my co-worker was processing hundreds of books. You just kinda start stacking things everywhere.
