I'm guessing this is set after Avengers.4?

Hope Mysterio isn't an outright villain. Spiderman could do with some myth updating.

*sighs*
Still no chemistry between the love interest.

Love that the theme song is incldued! XD

it's set right after infinity war: endgame (can never remember what number anything is). according to my brother, it's right after. like the next day after the last scene or something.

Huh. That doesn't make sense. I mean, if it's set like a week or two afterwards then yes the world would hae settled into the new order.

Yes, everybody's trying to rationalize the timeline and say the film's a prequel because of the clues about Tony, or lack thereof. I think it's time for ppl to prepare themselves for the probability of losing the original 6, especially Stark and Cap. Yeah, we're almost there. 😔

Hmm.. if it's set after Avengers then there's got to be some time-travel or infinity stone magic involved.

I'm selfish, as long as Stevve and Bucky make it out then it's fine with me! XD Okay maybe re-set Loki's fate too.

The Captain Marvel movie is sure to make a profit because we're all going to see it for a peak at Avengers^^

I definitely think there's going to be some timey wimey stuff happening, possibly in multiple movies. Pretty much a given when there's a Time Stone involved. My personal favorite theory is Doctor Strange used it to view the one timeline that would work, and actively had to participate to get it there. Including telling Nick Fury "When you see people turning to dust, contact Captain Marvel ( ... )

That's a good point about Dr. Strange having warned Fury. I have to say the CG is amazing. Fury looks so young in Captain AMrvvel's trailer^_^

Heh. I was in the audience for the first screening of Infinity War. It was packed and nearly 10 pm when it finished and we were all properly traumatized by the ending. You could hear a pin drop at the ending scene.

Of all the infinity stones, the soul stone is the one with a rather vague purpose and method of using. It's like it's the last piece to complete a set so you have to sacrifice something to obtain all the stones.

No one's 100% certain when it happens. They've done screenshots of Peter's passport and there are no years listed so that you can't get a guess that way ( ... )

I've heard rumors that Mysterio is going to be heroic, but not necessarily a hero. Something along the lines of in it for glory, so maybe he's a part of the big picture with the other villains, or something happens later that pushes him into the villain camp.

There does seem to be a few elements of nature as villains in the Spiderman trailer but I'd like to see them update these villains like they did for the Vulture. The original source material is almost farcical in this day and age.

Even Black Manta in Aquaman seemed rather flat in terms of characterization.

What's weird is the actors seem to have chemistry IRL, but while portraying awkward teens not so much.

It's this re-invention of Mary Jane as a different ethnicity and personality that doesn't work, she looks spacey like she's taking drugs. Peter had more chemistry with the love interest in the first film.

People complain about whitewashing a character and lack of diversity, but changing a male character into a female one or changing him/her from white to black/Hispanic/Asian is hardly a big step for equality and/or representation.
