“Well,I....”
“It’s okay if you don’t love me.Just tell me the truth.”
“No,it’s not that I don’t love you because I really really love you with all my heart...but we can’t be together.....I’m sorry Kyu....”, tears started to form on the verge of Ryeowook’s beautiful eyes.
“But why?You said that you love me....i-isn’t it enough for us?Please tell me why Wookie...don’t do this to me”,Kyuhyun pleads and grasp Ryeowook’s hands tightly,afraid that the latter will leave him if he let go.
“I’m sorry....I can’t tell you why...I’m sure you will find a better person than me...Please,just go back to your family and forget me....I’ll do the same too...”Ryeowook said as tears flowing down his face.I love you so much that it hurts but this curse won’t let us be together no matter how much I wanted to make it happen.
“If that’s what you want me to do,I’ll go but don’t expect me to forget you Kim Ryeowook because you are my life,my only love.I could bear not being with you but forgetting you means that I’ll kill myself.I’ll always love you”.Kyuhyun slowly released Ryeowook’s small hands,his heart aches so much that he knows no one can cure it except the person in front of him but if that’s what his loved one wants,he will do it even if it make him suffer.He planted a kiss on the smaller man’s forehead before kissing him fully on the lips for the last time.It was painful to let go but Kyuhyun gather the bits of courage left in him to get up and started to walk,leaving Ryeowook’s small frame alone and not looking back for he was afraid he will change his mind if he do so.
Ryeowook can taste the tears when they kiss and it just make him cry more.I’ll always love you too because you are the one who took my heart away the first time we met.How I wish for this curse to break but it is difficult to be broken.I’ll always pray for your happiness..

It has been seven months since they last saw each other.Kyuhyun had been helping his father since then but he had pushed himself too much until he forgot his meal time and sleep just to distract himself from thinking about Ryeowook and his desire to meet the gorgeous guy again.His parents notice the change in their precious one and only son and they forced Kyuhyun to find Ryeowook again.
”Maybe it had changed now and his problems had been solved and he’s able to accept your love.Always believe in yourself son,true love won’t let anything come in their way even if it takes years to succeed.Our blessing will always be with you”,his father said.With that,Kyuhyun finally set his foot again at the country that brings him joy and sorrow altogether.
Kyuhyun rent a room at a small cottage to take a rest.He was thinking whether he should meet Ryeowook again or not.What will be his reaction when he see me?Has he met someone else?He shuddered at those thought,really,that would be the last thing he wish would happen to him.Seeing Ryeowook with someone else will only make his heart shattered and burnt into ashes.After a refreshing bath,Kyuhyun went outside to get something to eat.The old lady was kind enough to prepare a hearty meal for him.
”Is this your first time coming here young man?”
“No,it’s my second but that was seven months ago”,Kyuhyun answered with a smile.
“Oh,you’re lucky because there’s going to be a birthday celebration for the prince in two days.It’s going to be fun but I still feel sad for the King and Queen”,sighed the old lady.
“Why did you said that?Wasn’t you supposed to be happy for the prince’s birthday?”
“Of course we are happy for our kind and loving prince.He’s very kind to all his people, and that makes him an angel to us but something bad happened to him.If I’m not mistaken,it all started about a year ago when a marriage proposal was presented to the prince as always and he had declined it.The worse thing is,the prince that proposed was an evil one and he was mad that his proposal wasn’t accepted.So,the evil prince set a curse on our beloved prince but we never knew what exactly is the curse except that the prince cannot appear in the daylight anymore or something will happen to him”.
“That was very mean!Erm...may I ask what is the prince’s name?I should at least know the name of the birthday boy right?”
“Oh,of course!I forgot to tell you his name.I really am getting older now...haha...The prince’s name is Ryeowook,Prince Kim Ryeowook.It’s a beautiful name, isn’t it?It matches with his beautiful face too”.
It was as if he was struck by a thunder when he heard the name.Kim Ryeowook...his Ryeowook...Was that the reason why Ryeowook had refused to marry him and insisted that they should forget each other? And he never knew that Ryeowook was the country’s prince.Thinking back to the past,Kyuhyun realises that they never talk about Ryeowook’s personal life.It’s always about him and other things only.I really am stupid!Why didn’t I notice it before?It makes sense that we always meet after the sunset.I must find out the truth tomorrow.Kyuhyun excused himself and went to his room to get some sleep.
Early in the morning,Kyuhyun went to the sunflower field following barely on what his heart feels.He feels like Ryeowook will be there right now.Kyuhyun keep himself hidden behind a bush nearby and soon he heard soft footsteps coming towards the area.Then,Ryeowook appears in front of him but he can’t take the risk now to expose himself to the smaller one,afraid of the consequences that might happen if he did it.He’s still beautiful as always.I missed you so much Wookie...
Kyuhyun keep observing as Ryeowook walk through the sunflowers slowly until suddenly Ryeowook disappeared before his eyes.Wha-what the....He was there before...how could he gone just like that?He must be somewhere....Is it possible that he was cursed to become a sunflower?I must find which one is him!He quickly come out of the bush and walk through the sea of sunflowers.Hmm...let’s see.....Ahh!This must be him.Kyuhyun plucked a small sunflower and in place of the flower,Ryeowook appeared from nowhere.Kyuhyun quickly hugged the surprised boy tightly.
“H-how did you know about my curse?”,Ryeowook asked,confusion written all over his face.
“I just guessed it and looks like my guess is right.I am intelligent after all and you can’t deny it,haha.”
“But how did you pick the right flower amidst so many?”
“I looked for the one without dewdrops as the other flowers would have been out in the field all night and they definitely have dewdrops on them”,Kyuhyun said finally releasing Ryeowook from his tight hug.“Why didn’t you tell me about this before?”
“I-I couldn’t...The witch had cursed me that I would become a sunflower in daytime and myself by sunset.The curse would break only if someone picked the right flower and if I told anyone about this I would become a sunflower forever”
“Well,you will always be a sunflower to me”
“Yea-What?”
“I said,you will always be a sunflower to me because you are bright as its colour and it brightens my life too.Your heart is as big as the size of the flower because you are always kind and helpful to others and most of all,you are beautiful.You are my beautiful flower”.Ryeowook blush madly when he hears this and he smiled shyly to Kyuhyun.”Thank you,Kyu”.
“Ermm....Errr...Wookie,will you think again about my proposal?I-I’ll...”
“I do”,Ryeowook said ,his face turning into dark shade of red while looking straight into Kyuhyun’s eyes lovingly.
Kyuhyun blinked his eyes,his mouth hanging wide open.”Am I hearing right?You do said ‘I DO’ don’t you?”,he asked again to make sure he did hear it right.
“Yes.I do”,answered Ryeowook,smiling sweetly. “.....and thank you for this meaningful birthday gift”.
Kyuhyun pulled Ryeowook for a sweet,loving kiss.Thank God for giving me the chance to love him again.
As for Ryeowook,he had found his love and this time he doesn’t have to leave his love anymore.
