Part 2 of yesterdays post....
So you remember the Toshiro Mifune piece right?
In order to place it into my portfolio it had to be applied to something. It had to be used in a advertisement, or in a poster, on a t-shirt or in a package design.
I decided to go with the last option and designed a sake label to make use of the illustration.
I designed the label, then came up with the paper top to mimic the old ways that were sometimes used to seal the sake jars for transport (wax seal with paper covering it). I'm pleased with the way it turned out. =)
