French radio announcers talking VERY FAST is French rock. I can understand about every tenth word.

Meanwhile...a real update.

Last week = finals. Looks like I made an "A" in every class except Perspective and Observational Drawing which I was told I have a "C" in. (I don't want to discuss it as I have issues with some of the instructor's methods) And I haven't gotten my grade back from Electronic Layout as of yet. My guess is a B+ as he gave a LOT of paper tests - and this girl does not test well. Never have. Never will. Especially when many of the answers on the tests were subjective. Ah well. The only thing that bugs me: this means I won't get the merit award I was applying for. My GPA will be too low. Maybe next quarter I can bring it up and try again.

I am hoping to swap out my Drawing Anatomy class for a web design class next quarter and finally get a website crafted where I can upload my completed projects for people to see. Right now they are up on facebook, but not everyone I know has facebook etc. Plus it would be nice to have something more professional to showcase my work later for prospective employers and clients. I already have big ideas for my portfolio show booth when I graduate.

Beyond school...work is still hell. I get up at 5am on saturday and sunday mornings, go into work and unpack boxes, stock shelves, clean and basically bust my ass for 8 hours bagging retail when I am not on the floor working to keep the dollar spot area tidy (on an average day, I bleed at least once from something puncturing my hands somehow). But mostly I am constantly shocked and amazed at how disgusting and filthy the general public is. I'm also consistantly dismayed at how lazy and unintelligent people can be. How often they just "don't feel" like reading the instructions on the packages of things to make sure they are purchasing the right item. It's no wonder so many levels of our government are completely buggered if these are the people doing the voting.

I keep looking for other employment but so far nothing has panned out. =(

Meanwhile, my living situation is both good and bad. I have a great roommate and her boyfriend is fun, so being with them is always a good time. The other roommate just left for Georgia last week, and I am going to miss her a lot. She was a sweetie and we laughed a LOT when we were together. The bad bit is that 85% of everything I own is STILL in storage because there is no room for it in student housing where I live. And the storage fees of keeping it there are killing me financially. I'm not sure what I can do to solve this, as it's one of the least expensive yet secure facilities in Orange County. Frustrating. I had so hoped to have my own apartment by now and it's kind of depressing me a little.

In other news, the weather here is just AMAZING. It's currently 72F here and the sun is really bright today.
Kinda makes it all worth it.
