On fanfiction and food
So, about food. I'm picky now. I was never picky before, but I am certainly picky now. Two things I want to eat today: tomatoes (like, fresh ones, cut up with salt and pepper on them) and ice cream - specifically vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. But not at the same time as the tomatoes.
Oh, and water. Lots and lots and LOTS of water.
Nothing else sounds appetizing. Had a grilled cheese at lunch, and it made me gag. Definitely not interested in pizza for dinner and should probably keep my husband abreast of that, because he's announced interest in cooking something "quick."
And about fic.
Have made quite a bit of progress today on my drabbles for tron20in20 - YAY! Am half done - which is pretty good, except when you consider that they're due in a week. Meep. I'm struggling most with "Integration" - so if anybody wants to help me cheat PM me with a suggestion of how I can make a drabble that involves Alan and Integration, that'd be cool. Also I'm struggling with my Author's Choice... WTF is that? "Here, write a drabble about Alan doing anything you want." .... *imagination fail* Dammit.
Also on the burner:
- J/D story for kungfuwaynewho . Still untitled, but started! (WTF titles, man.) Set between Seasons 2 and 3. Rated... errr... for grown-ups.
- A/S story for ensignw involving firefighter!Sam and a bad accident that ends him up in a wheelchair, albeit temporarily. Angsty. Eventually rated for grown-ups, but so far I'm 1.5 chapters in and mostly Sam's just being a bitch. Also, this story has a lame title.
- Remember Like a Rolling Stone? Let me tell you what happened with that (TRUE STORY): Some good friends of ours borrowed both movies liiiiike... three weeks ago. And I need to go in and check some things before I can release the next chapter. Well, these friends? LEFT FOR ENGLAND. FOR A MONTH. AND THEY STILL HAVE MY MOVIES. I'm tempted to break in and steal them back.
- It's getting to be time for the Porn Battle again, and I'd really like to submit some prompts this year - which mostly means I need to stop posting every little idea that comes into my head to the tronkinkmeme . And I want to write a couple of things, of course... which probably means letting some other things fall to the wayside during that week. But it's only one week! ...It's also one week where we'll have a house guest, and my office doubles as the guest room, sooooo... it's possible I won't get a chance to hammer out any porn that week. We'll see.
- My very sad backlog of abandoned B5 stories, which makes me depressed every time I open that folder. Dammit.
- I have the very strong urge to write a short something about pregnant!Delenn talking to her belly. ...No, this isn't autobiographical at all.
