Jimmy shops like a girl
Jimmy, Jesse and Haley went on a shopping spree for the house today. Funny if you ask me, he actually enjoys doing this and I can remember many arguments we have gotten into over how the house should be decorated ie: bed sets, table cloths, curtains, colors, things like that. However I must admit that today he done good! I had left early this afternoon to take Jamie down to my mom. My brother and her took him into Boston to see Disney's Incredibles on ice, and since I had to be at work down there tonight, there was no point in me comming back up this way then back down again to work, so I basically just killed the afternoon hanging out. Anyways, I got home from work around 2:30 am (hanging out after work for a few, which will be another post and stopping at Walmart for a Melissa Etheride CD) to a bunch of pretty cool new things. He bought a new clock for the kithen, some funny looking chef dude with a big hat, some new kitchen curtains, geesh, I'm tired and forget what color they are, a maroonish I think? The only thing about them I don't like is that it covers the whole window, so I'm going to have to either tie the bottom ones back or try and talk him into taking them down all together. A new table cloth, not to keen on the roosters all over it, but definately a much brighter color then the ugly blue one that was there before, this one is yellow, pink? LOL at me forgetting the colors. A big 5 wick pillar candle for the middle of the table. All the kids got new sheets and comforters, Haley a Bratz set, Jesse Nascar (interesting didn't even know he liked Nascar)and Jamie Spiderman (he's spending his first night away from home at Mom's house so he's in for a surprise when he gets home tomorrow). We have a big issue with the kids, as they like to walk in the front door and toss their coats onto the floor, so he got a pretty cool looking black mirror about 3 feet long and a foot high that's a coat rack too! Now, the best for last, my room.. It looks VERY cool, new sheet set, comforter, pillows, bed skirt, curtains, and a very nice mirror. I was joking with him on Valentines day and told him I wanted Red Satin sheets, well he couldn't find red, but got a real pretty shade of Purple Satin comforter, pillow cases, and bed skirt (not real Satin, as it came from Walmart, but still) Long purple curtains (just need to find the valances for them now as you can see the pole through the tops)that can slide easily across the pole to open or close. He was right when he told me on the phone that I would think I was in a new room, funny I never thought I would like purple but it really does look AWESOME. I'll have to take some pics and figure out how to show them. So I must say, that over all I'm pretty impressed with the stuff he got and I guess the right thing to do now is to tell him that! Ugh, there goes the ego.. hahahahaha. Better get to bed now as it's almost 4am and I have to be up in 4 hours to put the turkey in the oven. Making a big turkey dinner with all the same fixings as Thanksgiving. Was gonna post about work on another one, but that will have to wait until tomorrow now (well later today technically)
