Once again I failed to read the number of books I had hoped for this year(25). This year, however I failed miserably!
I didn't keep track like I usually do so it may not be in order.
Books read in 2007
1.Eldest - Christopher Paolini
2.Ptolemy's Gate (Book III of The Bartimaeus Trilogy) - Jonathan Stroud (This is an excellent series and highly recommended)
3.A Confederacy of Dunces - John Kenedy Toole
4.Endymion Springs - Matthew Skelton
5.Eragon - Christopher Paolini
6.Eldest - Christopher Paolini
7.Stardust - Neil Gaiman
8.Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows - J. K. Rowling
8.The Raider - Jude Deveraux
9.Johnathan Strange & Mr. Norrell - Susanna Clarke
10.The Golden Compass - Philip Pullman
11.Hybrids (The Neanderthal Parallax, Book Three) - Robert J Sawyer
So my goal was 25 books; I fell FAR short. less than half the number read last year.
I had been warned about "Johnathan Strange & Mr. Norrell" and how dry it was and hard to stay into, and it was. When I told people I read it they said there should be an award for those that finish it. Many of those people did not finish it. Once I got through that one it was easier to pick up other books again.
