Bitchy rants about bitchy fans~

Apr 18, 2011 14:20

Reading a post in Arama made me so irritated, I just have to write down my thoughts. In the first place, why the hell are they at Arama? Get ready for some long, long rants~

People will sometimes think that I'm anti Kpop but that's not true. If I am then why would I be listening to their songs? Heck I hate SNSD but I still listen to one or two of their songs -.-

What I hate about Kpop is their FANS not the idols.

I have a suspicion that most of those attacks are from the newbies. You know, the ones who only came into the Kpop world AFTER the wave hit the world. In other words, the people who love to follow the trend. And most of them are for sure still teenagers meaning they are still immature in some of their thinking.

Bear in mind though I am not saying all the fans but only some. There are fans who respect each other and I'm really thankful to them for that. I understand that in entertainment world, every artists will have haters. But hating someone just because they are more popular than yours? How childish is that?

I don't get why do they feel the need to bash other groups. Doing so won't make your own idols look fabulous, people. It just made more people hate them. It's like, if you want to make more friends, you don't go around insulting people for no reason. Sometimes I hate the people in my own fandom, be it Arashi, TVXQ! or Ft Island. Not all, just those few overzealous fans who think that the idols are their gods.

But then again, if we were to bash their idols like how they did ours, the cycle will never end. The most perfect way to handle this is to just reply in a neutral way ( 'cos it would amuse them if we were to reply in a defensive way ) or don't bother replying/reading their comments. I always do the latter 'cause the comments are most likely the same throughout. Either a congratulations, a mockery to other bands or a billion praises for their own idols.

On the other hand, I can't stand fans who think too highly of their idols. I maybe one who can talk nonstop about Arashi and some may call me a fanatic but I do insult them when I think that what they did are ridiculous. And I do make fun of their photoshoot 'cause seriously some of their pictures really are not all handsome or pretty... Sometimes it makes them looked weird and ridiculous. Especially their clothes during their performances in concerts Lol

Truthfully, Arashi sometimes embarrassed me ^^;

Hey, where's the fun if all you do is shout praises for your favourites? There are no rules that said we have to love them 100%. There are times when I hate Arashi. Like when;

Nino was so calculative 'cause the cameras are on him,
Ohno did that not-so-handsome expression which make him looked ugly,
Matsujun was sucking up to some big well-known people.
Aiba being too overly stupid,
and Sho being too attention-seeker.

But these are all the qualities of a human being and I love imperfections. Those 'perfect' idols are the ones I stay away from 'cause they are the most fake. What we see are only what they wanted us to see. Yes, I don't doubt Arashi too have a side of them we, fans won't ever know. Like they can be all perverts or sexual powerhouse or all rowdy, but as long as they are not doing anything illegal like taking drugs or hit-and-run, I don't really care much. It's not like they are my friends or someone who I know personally. They are only humans so it's kinda understandable that they will do stupid, ridiculous things. And I know they are definitely not 100% innocent or nice.

I still hate that they smoke though Lol
Smoking is just a big NO for me.

Back to the topic, why am I always targetting the Kpop fans? Bias much?

Well, I'm sure most can say that, but from what I see, usually it's them who started the mess. I won't say that the Jpop fans are all innocent either since they too, can be too much. But most posts I saw, whenever a Korean group tops the charts or whatsoever, there will always be comments saying about how *insert JPOP group name* will lose etc. I mean come on. Why must you rile up fans?

I'm saying the Kpop fans are the ones who usually started this first because I don't see much 'Kpop must die' comments in our own Jpop news. Well, atleast with the artists I'm keeping up with. I mean you don't see comments saying 'Oh hell yes Arashi won again. I hope the *insert KPOP group name* disappear.'

Seriously, these kind of comments only appeared AFTER the Kpop wave. Back then, do they care? I bet if their idols didn't debut in Japan, they won't give a damn about Japanese charts. If their idols were to debut in, say America instead, then the american artists might be the ones getting all the flames.

All I can say is I have no respect for some Kpop fans, that is all. Of course, some Jpop fans too.

I mean if you think your idols are soo perfect, why bother insulting those 'talentless and ugly' artists anyway? You should be more confident that your idols will triumph, right?

And for those Jpop fans who talked thrash back, I don't get why must you stoop to their level. It's not the artists' faults that they have such rude fans so we shouldn't be insulting the artists. Critique them when you think they deserve it. Though by saying this, I'm sure that those Kpop fans will shoot at me saying that they are giving their critiques to Jpop artists. Oh, please. People aren't stupid, you know. There are a difference between constructive criticisms and insultings my dear. Look it up if your brain doesn't register it.

I may be a bit bend out of shape just because someone insulted Arashi. Yes, they may not be all handsome and muscular and super good at singing and dancing. They are five men who are too, doing something for a living. They are skinny and kinda average looking. Most sucks at singing and dancing too. But in the first place, only shallow people looked at the exterior. They may not be as good as your artists which you people claim to be soooooooo good, but atleast they made me laugh. Like how your idols made you laugh.

So just think before you write stupid comments 'cause really, it just made you look stupid.

Saying how the other idols are ugly or talentless... Bear in mind that whatever you say, are always what are on the other people's minds about YOUR idols. Not eveyone thinks that your idols are all gods and good-looking. Atleast I don't think so. I mean people say all the time that TVXQ! are super hot and handsome but I only see them as average. That coming from a huge fan, though I don't talk about them much recently especially after that stupid lawsuit which is besides the point of this post.

Yeah, of course I will say that they are cool and sing praises of their physique and looks but what matters most is the fact that they can entertain me. Who cares about looks? It's not as if we can get them to be our boyfriend. Oops. To some fans, sorry for bursting your fantasy bubbles.

Now that I think about it, there is one other thing I hate about Kpop fans. Ever since I was into Kpop in 2005, I realised that these fans are too, how you say the word... protective? Is a nicer word for it. I mean it's the first time for me hearing how fans BASH artists who got to close with their idols. OH MY GOD, how crazy are they? It's like they own the idols or something, it's too ridiculous I can't even comprehend it.

And the idols are just taking it too nicely. Sometimes I hate them for doing so because them not reprimanding their fans means they are allowing those fans to behave that way. I mean yes, 'cause of fans they are popular but there has to be a limit on how pyschotic you can get.

I know for Arashi they don't really give much face to their fans. I mean there are people who said that Sho often shout and scold the fans for being too overly excited or when they get in the way of their private life. Of course then, you people will say that he's rude and not respectful ( look at who's talking huh? ), but in my opinon, it's because that they are strict with their fans that their fans are not rude. Well, atleast most of them. I bet those idols who have their fans being way too 'protective' of them are actually sick of them. Who knows they might even be insulting them.

Once again I have to remind you guys, we will NEVER know their true colors. Arashi or TVXQ! or FT Island could be as mean and rude as other people for all I know.

There are some times when I actually didn't want Arashi to come to Singapore. Why? 'Cause I don't want them to see how some fans behave. I actually saw some rude fans when I went to the airport to see FT Island last 2 years. These bunch of thick-skinned girls stood in front of their van so as to block their way in hopes of seeing their idols longer.Which was ridicukous actually, seeing taht the van's windows was tinted. Some even went as far as to grab their idols' hair!

Seriously, can they still demand that the other people respect their artists when they themselves don't? Fans are not given the privilege to own the idols just because we bought their stuffs and make them popular. It is us who were stupid enough to get pulled into the fandom.

Overall, all I want to say in this super long rant, as I always say ten thousands time before.
Always RESPECT each fandom, be it Jpop or Kpop or watever.

And Arashians, if they insult Arashi, DO NOT talk trash about their artists. We don't want to do something as demeaning as them. It won't make Arashi looks good so if you want to hold an image for Arashi, bite your tongue. Always tell yourself that it would make Arashi proud knowing how respectful their fans are :)

Okay, I guess I've released all my frustrations. Kinda long huh? LOL!
