Hidden Memories.....

Well as everyone knows by now I have been spending all my time working at the Grand Bank Swimming Pool. Whether it be teaching lessons or sitting around watching people during public swims I never get to leave that place, so yeah I'm coming close to the point where I am going to permanently smell like chlorine. The other night myself and Juanita were sat around during an Adult Swim waiting for people to show up and got it into our heads to clean out and organize the filing cabinet! So we decided to tackle the impossible! That cabnet had papers on every child that took lessons ever since the pool has been open (many many years ago). So we hauled them all out and began to sort them alphabetically. When we got to the letter S, I stumbled across a paper that revealed many hidden memories, and brought tears to my eyes. I was holding in my hand the Swimming Lesson Report Card of Matthew Symes. Suddenly memories of me and Matthew taking swimming lessons together all came rushing back. I had forgotten all about those days and it only took that little piece of paper to bring them back! When you think about it, its funny how something so unimportant, becomes so very important once the person is no longer around. I have decided that I am going to take the paper from the pool and bring it up to Shelley sometime this week, it will be something else for her to add to the scrap book she is making in memory of her son!

Love You Always Matthew
