A-Kon Update
Okay, here's that A-Kon report that I promised the other night. I really did enjoy this A-Kon a lot in retrospect and while there are some things I want to do different next year, I wouldn't of changed to much too this year.
I woke up Friday early to pack and pick-up two of my co-workers. I figured getting to the convention early on Friday morning would enhanced my ability to get a decent parking spot... it did not. Next year I'll just have to check in on a Thursday so Friday is not wasted. We walked around for awhile. I was with Parker and Mo and Mo was dressed up in a school girl outfit from a Hentai series.
JB, who reserved the room, had a doctor's appointment until 1ish and we did not end up getting a room until later in the afternoon. It's all good though... I wandered the convention as Pac-man and an former co-worker showed up as a Ghostbuster. That night we went to Genroku and had a great dinner and had a good time. We did however have to get out of the mode of talking about work... we were on vacation after all.
Saturday was great even though Parker had to work. I woke up to asmaria asking about the gloves I got her. I started to panic when I could not find them knowing that I packed them and had to walk to my car to get them. I was a little peeved that after spending $20 on a bald cap and wig cap, Parker ended up not using it. I sorta hope he pays me back for it...
I dressed up as Linebeck from Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (swammi, working on getting a photo from a friend to show you proof) and I was pleased that I seemed to be the ONLY person to dress up as him. I don't like dressing up as characters that are all over the place. (i.e. Ichigo) I think I did a good job, but I do want to improve the costume for the future.
IN the evening we went to Hooters with the whole Ghostbuster gang. They were a hit at Hooters... I wish I was a Ghostbuster so I could of got some hot shots with the waitresses... :P Afterwards, we went to the Hentai Fest, saw Pervs on a Train, and then went to the dance. Parker was nodding at the Hentai Fest so he went to bed but I had a good time with Mo and Raine.
Sunday was good too. I bought a few things from the dealers room. The elevators sucked, so we went down twenty-eight flights of stairs. Good thing it was down... Came home after dropping off Parker and John, who need a ride after A/V duty in the video room, and here I am. Lots of fun.
Today I got one of my books for class starting next Monday and assembled a automatic cat litter-box. It's great! No more scooping for me because the litter-box will do itself!!! Progress!!! Maha seemed a little in shock when the thing filtered itself, but they both seem to be using it.
I'm cleaning my room and organizing it. So messy. I want to be able to find things faster and get rid of junk I don't need. If I have anything to sell, I'll post it here.
