antm is not my favorite show, for now

Some clarifications here. For
illogic82 to say that America's Next Top Model is my favorite show is a bit inaccurate.  I mean, TV is bad for you.  Every time after I watch it, my brain goes numb and I have a bad headache if I stare at the TV for too long. Then, I don't want to do anything else, cuz I feel too tired from lying on the couch for all those hours.  Calling something so bad for you a favorite is an oxymoron.
So, my thinking is, obviously I'm not going to get anything meaningful out of TV, why not make the most out of this meaningless experience?  This meaninglessness is why I like elimidate & blind date; these are my favorite shows.  They pick these women & men (though mostly women) who just go on the show and say mean things to each other.  It makes me laugh and want to throw up all at the same time. It's terrible and I'm sick, I know.  In the end, I tell myself, at least I didn't expect anything from TV.
America's Next Top Model is a glamour version of elimidate.  A bunch of women is really mean to each other because they're competing for something that only one person can win.  The drama is set in a huge house, with beautiful people, and lasts over a longer period of time.  Don't you notice how the mean girl doesn't get elimated until the end to make sure there's drama?
anyway, the logical reaction to a the producer-writer strike is a boycott cuz even real life creeps into my brain-numbing activities.  I'm boycotting the show until the writers get a contract.  Ha.  I'll keep you posted.  In the meantime, here's an article on Time.com.  Even NPR covers the strike.
