Haysi High School 2004 State Creative Writing Champions!!! We won the VHSL State Creative Writing Folder Championship! My short story WON! I was beyond excited when Mrs. Charles told me the great news! LeRae's essay on Appalachia got 2nd, and Amy Large WON in poetry. Larry called from C-ville and he is bringing home the trophy and the medals. Wow! I have never won anything this important before, it is so AWESOME!
Today was National Day of Prayer. It was once again so power that there are no words to express the joy I felt. I just can't get over the feeling I get when I see almost the entire student body worshiping our God. The entire gym was overflowing with prayers, and Stan did an excellent job presenting the meaning of prayer without pushing it on anyone. I am so proud to be a member of a High School were Prayer is permitted, and expressed. I finished out my day by making several visits to the prayer table in the library and just standing in Aww of all that God does in our lives. He is truly AMAZING!
Tomorrow is Press Day, and after me and my friends are heading to DollyWood for our Senior Trip! I have a feeling it is going to be so much fun! I can't wait to see Travis Trent in concert and just hang out!
Well I really just updated to share the wonderful news of our Creative Writing Team! It is all in thanks to Mrs. Charles so CONGRATULATIONS to her on the victory!
I am going to go finish Friends(last episode ever) NOW!
