once u post, u gotta keep posting uh huh.

so i talked to this japanese out of random unknown circumstances.
and i found out the following.

singapore and other developing nations call a flight attendant, an air steward,
and developed countries call an air steward, a flight attendant.

and in japan, its prestigious to be part of aircrew, or the hotel industry,
coz pple rarely know english, and u have to know english to join these industries.

all japanese aircrew have to be uni graduates. the guy i talked to had a geog degree,
and his mum had a law degree but flew as an aircrew for 33 years.

ha. take that. singapore's service staff is totally make of CMI pple. filipinos and prcs.
the guy asked me what i wanted to be. i said "banker" and he said that's a normal job in japan.

OH. and japanese don't really care that much abt salary, coz their pension = 3-4k SGD after 65 years old.really puts in perspective the recent move (a few days ago) to re-employ pple 62 and above.

i really cannot stand the fact, that PAP raised the lifespan of the average s'porean to 80+ years old
only to make them work till 65. so what, they're just cheap labour to s'pore?

gosh so much for a government.
and making a hoohaa(in a good way), for letting them work beyond 62 (coz most average s'poreans have to)

then i wondered. where you born really affects how you think no?
who would think being an "air steward" /flight attendant would be more prestigious than a lawyer in s'pore?

does where you're born in influence how you think?
if it does, think again.

come on pple, challenge your thinking.
