I did learn some interesting facts from shark week. 1. Bull sharks, though not the biggest sharks out there by any means, is considered the most dangerous because (a) so aggressive--they have most testerone than any creature on earth; (b) they can live in both salt and fresh/mixture (for an extended time and often it is where the babies seek shelter and grow for a time) water; (c) live in areas throughout the world, etc.; 2. I knew about the 1916 shark deaths but I didn't know that most people believed that sharks were harmless to humans, even if they were huge. Interesting point of the special was that the experts had such a hard time accepting sharks were responsible. In some ways, I wish we had that attitude now. Because of that one attack, and some later, the overall public has such a nasty and overwhelming unrealistic fear of sharks as man-eaters. Even with sharks that will occasionally kill or attack humans (given certain circumstances) they won't usually.
You have to be educated before diving into the ocean. You are entering their environment; you are the alien--not master of the universe. We kill lots more of them than they kill us.
Enough ranting.
