I'm back, bad Llama that I am, but I've been completely swamped recently.
To end the saga of my broken nose (hence forever known as 'The Broken Nose Saga, remember this!) nothing got done, and my nose never got fixed. I went to Wellington Hospital, to see a cosmetic surgeon (this being after I was sent to a million and one other places, as you may recall. If not, read the last entry!), who basically said that there was nothing that could be done.
"If I fix your nose, we're going to have to rebreak it, which will hurt a lot. Also, there's a 50 percent chance I'll be able to put it back into place. A 50 percent chance I could screw it up even worse. And it looks really straight to me."
Okay, so that's not verbatim, but it's pretty damn close if you ask me. Go on, ask, I dare ya!
So I was fine without, I was freaking out about the anesthetic thing anyways. Not that there wasn't going to be anesthetic, because there was, but I really don't like needles. And needles near my nose? No thanks.
All in all it turned out alright, apart from the fact that I wasted a day in Wellington (which was absolutely awesome!), was still in a lot of pain (which wasn't so awesome), and my nose is still broken (which is just totally nasty).
Okay, wee lie. It's not broken. Not anymore. It's healed. It's just still wonky. I had issues with my nose before this. Now? You don't wanna know.
Aside from the BNS, I've also been fairly busy with course... Still doing the hospitality thing. I've been busy Moderating at the Katherine Heigl board at Fanforum.com (yay! Still completely squeee on that btw), and I got a job!
It's not full time, it's not even part time. It's casual, but it's bartending and it pays, so it's all good. In fact it's at the racing course, so I get to watch horse race each other when I'm not serving! Which is what I did yesturday, on the Melbourne Cup day. Not completely busy though, so it was good. Especially since it was the first day I had worked there, and the first time I had worked anywhere (bartending wise) outside of the Royal.
But aside from a few cock ups, which is to be expected when you're nervous, like closing the till when it was broken and couldn't be opened (I only did that once, but the other two bartenders also did it!), everything went great, and I had a good time.
I was supposed to meet my parents afterwards, as my sister was doing some kind of huge concert in Wellington (which is also where the racing club is), so I get to where I'm supposed to be, only to find my Pup (grandad) waiting for me. Little confusion, long story, short story is: car blew something, wasn't working, mum and dad had to turn around a go home, so they didn't see Jasmine's concert. And as I had missed the final train back to the Wairarapa (it was only 8pm for crying out loud) I was stuck like a car in the mud. But my grandparents had space, and luxerious it was, and I stayed there.
And last Friday night, I went to watch my brother do his Top Town at the A&P Show, and went on this horrible ride called the Scream Machine... Let's just say never again shall we, and leave it at that.

Okay, so that's me next to the little boy. (That little boy is my brother) And the bald man on the other side of me, is my uncle who convinced me to go on the damn ride. This is before the ride has actually started, btw.
I think this was taken after the ride had finished, I'm not too sure. Anyways, it looks like I'm going to hurl here, so it's a safe bet that it was afterwards, because I felt really sick on this ride!
Anyways, gonna hopefully watch Grey's Anatomy soon, so I'd better hop of and do some chores, and I'll chat later!
Tahra xoxo
