Kaori looks quite a bit different from the last time she was in the Nexus. To start with, she was thinner and paler. For another thing, she was muddier, bloodier, and more ragged. She was also breathing rather heavily and not too steady on her feet. She may or may not realize she's in the Nexus at all, being as she went from a place with trees to...another place with trees. As she stumbles, fetching up against a tree, something drops from her hand. It's one of her hairpins, the sharp end drenched in blood.
All in all, she looks like she's been in a fight.
