Never Enough

Here's another yummy bit. *throws cookies to everyone*

Dark cerulean eyes watch as flames lick at the nighttime sky. Tracks of tears that had stained his cheeks no longer fell from his eyes. Their depths were wraught with turmoil, but something else was there as well. Something darker, something...sinister.

If one had known Obi-Wan Kenobi beforehand, you wouldn't have fathomed that he could have fallen. But any innocence he might have still retained was burning away with the ashes of his Padawan. His old life meant nothing, and the ones he'd once called his family...

The would suffer greatly for their treachery.

He stepped foward to the makeshift pyre, as the flames died to embers. The former Jedi reached out a hand, grasping a red hot coal in his hand, and grimacing at the sizzling of flesh. Tears once again threatened the fallen Jedi. One, and only one slipped down his face, this one the color of blood.

"I'm sorry I wasn't strong enough to save you, Anakin." He pocketed the coal, placing it next to his heart with the river stone. Obi-Wan laid the hilt of his crystal blue lightsaber next to the pyre. His eyes grew hard, resolve and vengeance glittering dangerously.

"I'll make them pay for it. I will make them wish they'd never touched you."

He gathered his cloak around him, and prepared to walk into the dark night.

"I love you, son."
