(no subject)
So here's an update, kind of.
It's been a slow week so far. I'm only taking one class this semester with my most favorite professor ever -- and we're watching Mean Girls for the first few classes. How awesome is that?!
Had the first meeting of the semester with the girls. It's great seeing all of them again. We got big pens for selling candles. lol. Needless to say we were all pretty intrigued with them. I'm going to get everyone a special present this semester, if I can afford it. I know Tiffany will REALLY enjoy it. haha.
I went to a meeting on Thursday night thinking it was at 9, everyone started walking out then and I was like what?! It was moved to 7, but I didn't know because my phone has been off (until I finally paid the bill yesterday). So, after that I went with Kimmycake and the Grand Big to the Underground Cafe. We saw Ily Aimy ... WOW, they are AMAZING. I really enjoyed listening to them. Actually, we went to J Coles after the show ended and we saw them again. Kimmycake and I got drunk. lol. Got home ok, but woke up the next morning with a huge migraine.
So yesterday, I pretty much got an internship with the Office of Public Affairs with the university. YAY! I have something to do, which is exciting. I feel like I'm back on the right track again. I'll be working there on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 to 4. The good thing is, I'll be doing stuff in the community too.
Last night Kimmy and I went to Campys for dinner then to Jozart to see Ily Aimy again. They were doing an opening set for Dave Phahanish. I ended up buying a live CD 'cause yeah. They were great again. Dave Phahanish wasn't bad either, but I'm not too much of a fan of country. He is very talented nonetheless.
I ended up coming home after that because I felt really ill. My migraine started coming back and my tummy wasn't feeling well at all. I kind of think the food from Campy's made me sick combined with the cig smoke. I can usually stand the smoke, but while home in NJ I wasn't around it, so it's taking me a bit to adjust to it again.
So I made myself an English muffin and I ordered the new Mercury EP. I listened to previews online and it sounds AMAZING. I cannot wait to get it.
Now I'm just listening to the Avalanche game since I can't watch it on NBC. Gr. They're playing the Flyers/Pens game instead which makes no sense because they always show Pens on FSN anyway. Oh well. It's 4-3 Detroit right now, so I'm going to keep my fingers crossed.
